Paolo Bondaschi

Started scuba diving in 1998, completing all the training in Italy, between Garda Lake and Lecco Lake. Diving instructor of different agency, he has turned his passion into a real job.

He lived and worked in the Philippines for over 15 years now, is currently on the Mindoro Island exactly in Puerto Galera, one of the most appreciated places by diving enthusiasts.
Teaches in Italian, English and Filipino, is also a technical diving instructor with wide knowledge of the tropical marine biology of these places.

Working closely with professional photographers and beginners, curiosity led him to get interest in photography before becoming a passionate “amateur diver photographer” since 2010. For his knowledge of the places and ability to discover the most interesting subjects he became one of the most requested underwater photography guides and this not only from a biological point of view but also from photographic point of view.

Paolo was one of the first photographer that introduced Blackwater diving in the Puerto Galera area.

He launched the MACROMANIA EVENTS assisted by professional colleagues. Three different events are becoming an annual appointment for enthusiasts, photographers and anyone interested in the Blackwater diving and in the macro marine life of the seabed of the Philippines.
